Professional Experience

2006 - Present Owner Paw Paws Canine College & Kennel, LLC Established and operated kennel in dog obedience training and boarding. Directed the development of a strong customer base and marketing of kennel services. Responsible for all areas of business operation including training, marketing, inventory, accounting, policy development, and maintenance. Additionally involved in breed counseling for prospective owners, the study of behavioral problems of dogs, professional consultations to other kennels and rescues.


1989 - 2005 Owner, Companion Dog Training, Lincoln, Delaware
Established and operated kennel in dog obedience training, and boarding. Directed the development of a strong customer base and the marketing of kennel services. Responsible for all areas of business operation including personnel, training, supervision, marketing, payroll, inventory, accounting,  policy development, and maintenance. Presented public lectures on pet training, health care, and psychology. Additionally involved in breed counseling for prospective owners, the study of behavioral problems of dogs, professional consultations to other kennels, and showing dogs.

1988 Research Biologist, Wildlife International Ltd., Easton, Maryland
Conducted acute, sub acute and chronic studies according to designated protocols, SOP's and GLP's. Responsibilities included observations of all in-progress studies, recording and calculating data generated by studies, i.e., body weights, feed consumption, egg weight, shell thickness, egg visibility and development, necropsies, tissue preparation for brain cholinesterase determinations.


1980-1987 Executive Director, Friendship Kennels, Inc. Jessup, Maryland
Established and operated kennel in dog obedience training, pet grooming, and breeding. Directed the development of a strong customer base and the marketing of pet supplies, feeds, and kennel services. Responsible for all areas of business operation including personnel, training, supervision, marketing, payroll, inventory, accounting, policy development, and maintenance. Presented public lectures on pet training, health care, hereditary diseases, and psychology. Provided specialized training for guard dogs, stage animals, and the pets of handicapped owners. Additionally involved in breed counseling for prospective owners, the study of behavioral problems of dogs, professional consultations to other kennels, showing dogs, and judging dog matches.
